What Is the Nissan ARIYA Nismo?
The Nissan ARIYA Nismo brings the motorsport philosophy to the brand's all-electric SUV. It builds on the standard model with increased power, performance-focused suspension tuning and unique exterior and interior details.
While the regular ARIYA prioritises comfort, technology and electric practicality, the Nismo version introduces a sportier character without abandoning the qualities that make it suitable for everyday use.
Electric Performance and e-4ORCE
Performance is one of the biggest differences between the standard ARIYA and the Nismo. The UK-specification ARIYA Nismo features an 87kWh battery and a dual-motor electric powertrain, producing approximately 435PS and 600Nm of torque. This allows the SUV to accelerate from 0–62mph in around five seconds, delivering the immediate response associated with electric performance vehicles.
Nissan's e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive technology plays an important role in how the car handles. By controlling power delivery between the front and rear motors, the system helps improve traction, stability and cornering confidence. The Nismo also receives specially tuned suspension and steering, alongside adjustments to its electric powertrain, creating a more responsive driving experience.
Distinctive Nismo Exterior Styling
The ARIYA Nismo is easy to distinguish from the standard ARIYA thanks to its motorsport-inspired appearance. A redesigned front bumper, deeper side skirts and a prominent rear spoiler give the SUV a more purposeful look. These features aren't purely cosmetic, as the aerodynamic changes are designed to help manage airflow around the vehicle. Nismo's signature red exterior accents feature around the lower bodywork, contrasting with the available exterior colours.
The car also features distinctive 20-inch alloy wheels, completing its sportier appearance while contributing to its performance-focused design. Despite these changes, the ARIYA Nismo retains the sleek SUV proportions and contemporary styling of the regular ARIYA.

Inside, the ARIYA Nismo combines the modern cabin layout of the standard model with several performance-inspired details. The most noticeable additions include Nismo-branded sports seats, red stitching and contrasting trim elements throughout the interior. These details give the cabin a more distinctive appearance, while the seats are designed to provide additional support during more enthusiastic driving.
The ARIYA's digital technology remains a central feature. Dual 12.3-inch displays provide access to driving information, navigation, entertainment and vehicle settings. Smartphone connectivity and Nissan's driver assistance technologies also help make the ARIYA Nismo practical for everyday journeys.
Range, Charging and Everyday Practicality
Although performance is a major focus, the ARIYA Nismo is still designed to function as an everyday electric SUV. Its 87kWh battery provides a WLTP driving range of up to approximately 260 miles, although actual range will depend on factors including driving style, temperature, road conditions and vehicle load. The ARIYA Nismo supports DC rapid charging at up to 130kW, allowing drivers to recharge during longer journeys when using a compatible charger.
The Nismo also retains the practical five-seat layout of the standard ARIYA, with comfortable passenger accommodation and a useful luggage area. This combination means it can handle commuting, family journeys and weekend travel while offering considerably more performance than a conventional family SUV.
