Is a Nissan Service Plan Worth It?

Servicing is an essential part of car ownership, but paying for it upfront can sometimes feel like a hassle. Nissan’s Instant Service Plan is designed to make things simpler, offering a flexible way to spread the cost of servicing while still keeping your car maintained to manufacturer standards.

But is it actually worth it? Let’s take a closer look at how the plan works, what’s included, and who it’s best suited for.

What Is the Nissan Instant Service Plan?

The Instant Service Plan is Nissan’s lighter way to pay for servicing. Instead of paying for a service in one go, customers can spread the cost over 12 manageable monthly payments. The plan covers two services: one carried out today and a second service due in 12 months, or earlier if the vehicle’s service schedule requires it.

The first payment is made online at the point of sign-up, followed by 11 automatic monthly payments collected via Direct Debit or Continuous Payment Authority. Finance is provided by Payment Assist, while the plan itself is managed by Nissan’s Service Plan provider, Car Care Plan.

What Does the Plan Include?

One of the biggest benefits of the Instant Service Plan is that it includes both a Minor and a Major service, regardless of which one your car needs first. This removes uncertainty and ensures your Nissan stays fully maintained over the 12-month period.

Every service carried out under the plan also comes with the Nissan Customer Service Promise. This includes 12 months of RAC Roadside Assistance, software updates where applicable, a free video health check, and a £200 insurance excess voucher. Genuine Nissan parts are used throughout and are fitted by trained Nissan technicians, with a one-year parts warranty for added peace of mind.

How Much Does the Nissan Service Plan Cost?

Pricing depends on the vehicle’s powertrain, with costs spread evenly across 12 months. Monthly instalments start at just £35.99 for Nissan electric vehicles up to £55.99 per month for diesel models.

All payments are interest-free at 0% APR, fixed for the duration of the plan and protected against inflation. This makes budgeting easier and avoids unexpected increases in servicing costs.

Who Is the Instant Service Plan Best For?

The Instant Service Plan can be taken out on many popular Nissan models such as the Qashqai, Juke, X-Trail, ARIYA, LEAF, and Micra.. It is designed for drivers who do not already have a Nissan service plan in place and who need a service in the near future, or even right away.

It works especially well for second owners, motorists who have not visited a Nissan service centre for some time, or anyone looking for greater control over their monthly outgoings while still giving their car the level of care it deserves.

For many drivers, the answer is yes. The Instant Service Plan offers flexibility, interest-free payments, predictable costs, and manufacturer-approved servicing. It removes the pressure of upfront bills while ensuring your Nissan is cared for properly by trained technicians using genuine parts.

If you are due a service soon and want a simple, budget-friendly way to stay on top of maintenance, the Nissan Instant Service Plan is a practical and reassuring option worth considering.
