THE FUTURE FOR NISSAN SEDAN VEHICLES

The Vmotion 2.0 concept was built to embody the future of the Japanese manufacturer’s sedan line, with a heavy focus on emotional design and technology. With this in mind, the Vmotion 2.0 concept car is a vehicle built with busy professionals at the forefront of its design, combining a high sense of style with comfort and functionality.

DRAMATIC SILHOUETTE

One of the most obvious features of the new Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept car is its dramatic silhouette. It is dominated by a new version of Nissan’s “floating roof”, which creates a smooth line from the Vmotion 2.0’s steep A-pillars to the lip of the boot. V-shaped tail lights complete the concept car’s sharp angles and striking overall stance. The Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept car’s three dimensional appearance is based on the brand’s new “Emotional Geometry” design language, and is complemented by a metallic finish. The concept car features a warm, silver paint with copper undertones, creating a layered effect that displays different hues and colours depending on the angle from which it is viewed.

A ROOMY RIDE

Built for comfort, the Nissan Vmotion 2.0 doesn’t cut any corners on the inside. Its spacious interior ensures everybody on board can enjoy a comfortable ride, while the roomy cabin feels even larger thanks to the extensive use of glass in the roof, windscreen and sides. The Vmotion 2.0 concept’s wide base sits at 285cm across, making it a wider vehicle than Nissan’s current range of sedans, and the pillarless interior makes for an even more spacious experience.

NISSAN INTELLIGENT MOBILITY

A secondary goal of the Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept car is to demonstrate the future of Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility technology. It allows a glimpse into what we can expect from the brand’s autonomous driving system, ProPILOT. The ProPILOT system will sit at the heart of Nissan’s future vehicles, assisting the driver in navigating everything from motorways and heavy traffic areas to city roads and intersections. Other drivers and pedestrians are made aware that ProPILOT is in control because, when activated, the system subtly illuminates the Nissan logo in the front grille and the diffuser in the rear of the vehicle.

AN AWARD WINNING CONCEPT CAR

The Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept car was first unveiled at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January 2017. At the same trade show, the Nissan Vmotion 2.0 was chosen to be the recipient of the coveted EyesOn Design Award for Design Excellence, an accolade that is given out at the show to award innovative design. It scooped the award before it had even left the show, setting Nissan’s sedans up for a promising future when it comes to design.
